When we plan, build and rehabilitate buildings and infrastructure for the future, knowledge about climate change, climate risk and climate adaptation is central.

If we are to be able to meet the climate challenges we face, we need a solid plan for handling different scenarios. This includes, among other things, floods, landslides and heavy rainfall. To succeed with climate adaptation, we must understand the consequences of a changing climate. Then we can implement the right measures that reduce the potential for damage.

Creating a climate-resilient society

People's safety, the protection of nature and socio-economic considerations form the basis for planning a climate-resilient society. Knowledge of climate risk must be included in spatial plans and early in the project phase. Good spatial planning and a holistic approach to climate adaptation are the key to preventing damage and creating good societies that are adapted to the climate of the future. This also includes using nature-based solutions.

Finding good solutions together

Collaboration and interaction between the players in the industry are necessary to achieve a climate-resilient society. Together, we find good solutions across planning boundaries, municipal borders and projects. We believe in a holistic approach to climate adaptation, based on the assessment of climate risk and vulnerability. This will provide us with new opportunities and create added value for society.
