R&D projects keep us leading as a knowledge-based company

Research and development (R&D) projects, idea development and innovation contribute directly to our strategic goal of being the place where expertise is developed and thrives.

R&D projects are collaborations between authorities, research institutions and expertise companies to solve relevant societal challenges. They help develop working methodologies and standards that are adopted by the industry.

When we participate in research projects, we secure industry-leading in-depth insight. This contributes to recognition both in research environments and among new employees, in addition to integrity towards customers.

We collaborate with renowned research institutions such as NTNU and SINTEF, and invest annually in such projects. A separate board prioritizes which projects we will invest in. For the management of idea development and innovation, we use our own implementation method, which follows up and decides which ideas and proposals will be further developed.
