Our experienced staff assist national authorities, landowners, county authorities, municipalities and private actors with assessment and design tasks within all areas of society where the effects of climate change are felt.
We identify potential natural hazards – such as floods, landslides and extreme precipitation – and assess how vulnerable areas, buildings and infrastructure are today and in the future. This provides a solid basis for planning measures that reduce risk and costs.
Based on selected climate scenarios, we will calculate the likely damage frequency and damage costs for the various natural hazards. The results of the analyses can be used as a knowledge base for overall climate adaptation strategies, spatial planning and operation and maintenance of infrastructure. We prepare cost-benefit analyses for physical and organizational security measures.
We have significant expertise in addressing climate vulnerability and climate risk in spatial planning according to the Planning and Building Act.
