Municipal sub-plans

The area section of the municipal plan is the most important tool municipalities have for achieving comprehensive land use planning with frameworks and prerequisites for new land use.

The land use is assessed against other conditions in the area, whether it concerns hazards, restrictions or use or protection related to the sea, landscape or the built environment. The municipality must coordinate and assess all interests in the municipality.

The land part shall be valid for at least 12 years, and the assessments must therefore be seen in a long-term perspective based on all interests in the municipality and the needs and priorities from the social part of the municipal plan.

We have expertise in a wide range of assessment and analysis tasks, which may be a necessary basis for identifying land needs and priorities. We have broad and long experience in process management and anchoring with decision-makers, and can assist with project management if this is desired.
