City and regional development

We have an interdisciplinary environment that covers most of the tasks that fall under urban and regional development. Our overall goal is to create value for our clients and society, and contribute to environmentally sound and feasible solutions.

Together with our clients, we develop planning strategies and development strategies, carry out participatory processes and prepare planning documents in accordance with the Planning and Building Act in the form of zoning plans, municipal sub-plans or municipal plans.

Our disciplines include, among others, spatial planning, landscape architecture, transport, water and sanitation technology, construction and civil engineering, energy use, environmental and natural resources. In each assignment, we tailor teams of employees with professional expertise who together complete the task.

Assisting at all levels

We assist in urban and regional development at all levels in the process, be it in urban areas, towns or hamlets. Some products we prepare:

• Site analyses – physical and social structures and connections, qualities and identity
• Landscape analyses – landscape character, functionality, condition, aesthetics
• Feasibility studies – principles, concepts, scenario development and conceptual sketches for the development and design of areas
• Area plans – overall guidelines for further zoning work in larger areas
• Location studies – strategic and functional
• Area program / strategy program – guidelines for further planning work
• Quality program, design guide – guide for the design and implementation of intentions and requirements in zoning plans
• Volume studies – development volume, functions, heights, sun and shadow studies

Most tasks are in the early phase of a planning process and are prepared either as independent documentation or as part of planning material that must be processed according to the Planning and Building Act.
