Viability analysis

The right priorities in the portfolio require a focus on viability

Good property management can be defined as providing users with good and efficient buildings and areas at the lowest possible cost. This involves creating the best possible framework conditions for the users' activities over time, and to achieve this, the building stock must be viable. By viable buildings we mean buildings that have the greatest potential to be good, functional buildings for the core business in the long term, and consequently where it will be most advantageous to make long-term investments to ensure value-preserving maintenance.

Viability analysis involves a mapping of the entire portfolio using the multiMap method (5-15 min per building). The structural properties of the buildings determine the degree of adaptability and the users contribute to the mapping of whether they are functionally suitable for current use. Multiconsult, in collaboration with customers, mapped the viability of over 3,000 buildings using this methodology.
