Description of the challenge
The project included the preparation of a comprehensive property strategy for Eidsvoll Municipality. The goal of the assignment was to rationalize property management, streamline land use and have a clear strategy for the future regarding existing areas and new acquisitions.
Multiconsult led a workshop-driven comprehensive user process and the project was carried out in two phases: 1) Condition assessment of the building stock and 2) preparation of the property strategy.
In the first phase, Multiconsult assisted the municipality in mapping the municipality's total land needs for all service areas as well as the technical condition, suitability and adaptability of the portfolio. The mapping tool multiMap, developed by Multiconsult, was used to map the property portfolio. Multiconsult analyzed the results from the mapping in the first phase and based on these analyses, a strategy document for the development of the property stock was prepared in the second phase.
